about...
Ennis Tola are a progressive rock act with a world-music influence. Receiving praise from all over, their debut album Seed showcases lead singer Tomas Fitzgerald's versatile voice and the band's ability to bring forth a unique sound, drawing its textures from unusual instrumentation such as Bass Clarinet and Japanese Koto.
Throughout 2010, Ennis Tola have made steady progress after the release of Seed, with stellar reviews from France, UK, USA, Italy, Brazil and Canada.
Currently, the band is working on their second studio album. While a portion of Ennis Tola's second album has been recorded at Abbey Road in London, the majority of this next release is being recorded at Anon Islet Studios, engineered by Tomas Fitzgerald. The final mixing and ultimate polishing will be in the very capable hands of Daniel Rejmer, who has worked with a swathe of notables including Paul Kelly, Foals, Mystery Jets, Björk and The Kills. In addition to this, Ennis Tola have enlisted the mixing skills of Forrester Savell (Cog, Karnivool) for their second single from their forthcoming album, which is to be released late 2011.
On April 16, Ennis Tola launched their first single from their forthcoming second album, Backbone, which is available here.
